Finally I got to wear my ‘Bloggers Love’ lace up heels which I featured a couple weeks ago in a style rant. Yes, after everyone commented on how cute they looked, I fell in love with them. LOL. Yes, I’m one of those people who when shopping will pick something out, try to decide for ages if I really like it. Finally decide I don’t love it, replace it on the rack and just as I’m about to walk away another girl (who probably has been waiting for me to drop the item) grabs it. Then I go, ‘Sorry, I’m getting that.’ Funny how you suddenly want something once someone else wants it. Continue reading “OOTD: Black Mango”
Having a chill Friday guys? I was super thrilled when Sheela Goh of Sheela Writes invited me to join February’s Sister Act Project. She’s strongly committed to the idea that style is ageless and collaborates with bloggers to see how they interpret and style themes across different age categories. February’s theme is “Sequins and Sneakers” and myself and four other fabulous bloggers gave it our best go! Continue reading “OOTD: Sequins & Sneakers (Sister Act Project)”
UPDATE: Cheers @Independent Fashion Bloggers (IFB) for featuring this post on their site on their weekly Links à la Mode roundup.
I was going through my shoes the other day as I’ve been intending to have a closet clear out (but never get around to it…) and discovered that I have more than 25 pairs. Gasp. Some of which I had bought and forgotten about and still have their tags on. Lawd. Continue reading “Fashion Rant: 7 Pairs of Zara Shoes or 1 Jimmy Choo? (Investing vs Buying in Fashion)”

Happy month of July!
I know, I know. I am so late but this is my post this month after a mini break from blogging 😉 Hope you’ve all been faring well? Well, I’ve been up quite a few ventures myself. The lovely team of people at Scarfworld sent me two gorgeous scarves to style into my summer outfits. Scarves are a fun, colourful and fabulous accessory that you can easily style into any outfit. So I was looking forward to putting my little spin on this.
If you love what you see on here, I have great news for you! They will be offering 3 SCARVES to 3 LUCKY WINNERS. All you have to do is
-Like the Art Becomes You Facebook Page

-And enter your email below
3 winners will be selected at random to receive a scarf of their choice.
Back onto how I styled my scarf goodies:
I paired both with this black and white pleated skater dress from Mango (bought a year ago) which is now out of stock.
The leopard print scarf is quite big so I had a lot of fun with it! I used it as a neck scarf, a wrap around and as a skirt!
This was one of my favourite shots from the day. It makes for a gorgeous skirt or beach shawl! It looks a little bulky over my skater dress but you get the drift…;)
It also makes for a brilliant shawl.
The colour-block scarf is a stand out. You can’t miss it, which is why I love it 😉
There’s how I styled these scarves. How would you have styled them?
What should I have done differently? Which of my styling endeavours was your favourite? Let us know!
I appreciate your feedback and comments.
have a great week ahead fab people.

Kim Kardashian has established that she can do both couture and ready to wear fashion with expertise. She showed us how chic simple can look in a Black Sleeveless Valentino Jumpsuit while she took North out for a trip to the doctor’s. Simply fab chic. Love this look. it’s polished and clean. The sleek hair and touch of red lips totally works.
The jumpsuit features a v-neckline, sleeveless, a v-neckline on back, a zip fastening on back and tailored trousers. This is a classy piece and I love.
However, if you can’t get the Valentino jumpsuit, there are so many pieces you can use to recreate the look. Get similar pieces here:
Do you think Kim nailed it?

If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll know I’ve been rocking my On Est High Pere tank all weekend!
That’s because I’m paying my respects to #StanleyEnow who just won our first MTV Award for Best New Act. A few weeks ago Muke Alison launched the campaign to Vote4 Stanley Enow and this is what followed! This is MASSIVE! This paving the way for Cameroon music and artists around the world. Even more, not only is it solidifying and developing a new zeal and drive in young Cameroonians to pursue their dreams but it is proof that with hard work and diligence, you can make it.
This is the kind of breakthrough talented but struggling artists needed. I can feel immense progress in terms of Cameroonians being more proactive and creative these days via social media. And I’m loving it!
The blogging scene is growing (Muke Alison, Mode Maison PR, Dulce Camer, Brenda Chuinkam, Find Palaver Woman, Glow by MONAT), the makeup and beauty scene is changing (BihYouty, Ozi by Anyi, E.K’s Hair Bar), the fashion and designing scene is on leaving it’s mark (Kibonen NY, Liiber London, EB Kreations, Mareta West, The African Shop), our movie industry is getting accolades (Christa Eka, Sahndra Fon Dufe, Stephanie Maa),our photography and videography is only getting better (Penjo Entertainment, Tabi Zama), our editorial presence is on the rise (FabAfrique, Bakwa Magazine), our music scene is slaying competition (JOVI, Stanley Enow, Gasha, Reniss, Debra Debs, Sine, Melcube King) and not to talk of our catwalk and beauty queens (Valerie Ayena, Naoumie Ekiko, Geli Forlefac).
All of the above are just to name a few.
And yes, I cut my hair 😉 #TheBigChop. It had to be done. It shrinks like crazy but it’s long enough to hold ‘one drumming.’ Lol.

Blazer – Mango
Strappy Tie Up Heels – Zara

When did I wear it better?
Have a terrific week guys.

I went on a blog hiatus and that’s because I’ve been away for a few weeks. Mathew & I just got back from our honeymoon/vacation in Spain. We visited Barcelona and a much smaller town on the ‘countryside’ called Sitges. It was beautiful! This is a quick post to share a few pics from the holiday.
I normally log around with my massive not-so-portable DSLR Canon Camera. But it gets tiring carrying a huge camera and lens around especially when you just want to have fun. This time I ditched it and used my Nokia Lumia 1020. The camera on this phone has been all the rave so I wanted to try it out. I got this phone for such emergencies and I must say it did a great job!
One thing you can say about Barcelona is there is not a shortage of mime acts. I literally ran into one every 5 minutes on The Ramblas. This beautiful turquoise geisha princess was my favourite though. And what a coincidence that I ran into her the next day! LOL. She was in plain clothes, but she still had blue streaks in her hair. We waved at each other…ah, the birth of new friendships…
The next day we set out for a sunny walk down to the beach.
I was the mysterious lady in red 😉
While Matt was just…mysterious.
Instead of jumping right into the beach action like everyone, I opted to do my favourite thing – EAT. And boy did I eat. I don’t think I’ve had a more delicious meal of Paella before. The restaurant we dined at was called La Litoral which brought back vague memories of Douala 😉
A full girl is a happy girl 🙂
We took this silly video just after the meal. I couldn’t even walk. LOL.
The next day it was time to see the great and impressive Gaudi architecture by the famous artist Antoni Gaudi.
Then I got hungry.
Yum, yum. Another pan of paella bites the dust.
Then it was time to hit the BEACH! In my favourite rainbow one piece 😉
The best view ever.
Then to the beach.
The next evening, I thought; I packed a few heels. I might as well wear one of them. Hence, the strappy sandals. I missed my feathery slippers though. They are just the most comfortable things. I wore them everywhere, literally. LOL!
I was Catwoman for a day. Meoooow! My feather slippers again!
I also donned this lovely floral day dress which was gifted to me.
One short beach stroll. It was too cold to get in the water 😦
Last few days were spent sunbathing as usual. By this time I felt like a stuffed goat.
Take Off: Good bye BCN. Welcome BHX ;( 😦 😦
There you have it!
Our holiday snaps.
Hope you lurved them.
Enjoy your weekend and God bless.

Brit model and Made In Chelsea reality starlet, Kimberley Garner looked 80s chic at the 25 Years of Magnum Party in London. She opted for a sassy £18 Topshop Gingham Cropped Top Bralet and matching £38 Moto Gingham Print Joni Jeans. Patent red heels and a red clutch finished her look. Very cute!
This look works for an ice-cream evening fun party. The crop top is definitely a huge trend this 2014 so I’m liking this look. Plus it’s super affordable. Would you rock this look?
See other attendees at the party:
Vanessa White of ‘The Saturdays’ was also on hand and looked very nice.
Band members Alexandra Buggs, Karis Anderson and Courtney Rumbold of ‘Stooshe’ coordinated in black and white. Cool.
Lilah Parsons followed the crop top and floral trend in a crop top and matching floral pencil skirt. She shielded the cold in a pale blue coat and pointed white wedge heels from Mango.
