I am finally back on the blogging train! The reason for my hiatus will be revealed in an upcoming even though there isn’t much to reveal at this point as it is 🙂

With the awards season in full flow and all the fashion week and runway shows that have been going down, I have missed out on A LOT. But I’ll try to catch up on as much as I can.

So the ESSENCE Black Women In Hollywood Luncheon went down yesterday. Honestly, this is one of my favourite events as I get to see some of the hottest women in showbiz own the red carpet. A handful of familiar faces came to kill. Let’s document their looks:

Lupita Nyongo’o is a queen in her own right. She came and emphasized that in a white crop top and matching skirt number which she accessorised with a deserving sparkling head band. Love this woman!

Brandy veered towards a kimono-style jacket and matching trousers. Minimal makeup and red platform heels finished off her look. Yes!

A heavily pregnant Kerry Washington aka Olivia Pope left us her Gladiators gushing over how pretty she looked in her blue dress and tossed curls. Pregnancy does suit her.

Rocsi Diaz looked pretty in a printed dress and nude pumps.

My girl Naomie Harris ALWAYS slays. She looked serene in a white sheer inset dress and natural makeup. Pretty.

The delightful Tamera Mowry looked sweet in a orange panel colour block dress. Gorgeous!

Tatyana Ali looked pretty as ever in a colour block yellow and white jumpsuit and half up half down hairstyle.

Laila Ali looked gorge in a white top, floral skirt and peep toe heels.

Angela Bassett gave all the starlets a run for their money. She looked beautiful in a purple print pencil dress and I live for her wavy bob. I would have left out the belt tough. Fabulous mama nevertheless!

Regina King looked good in a cream belted jacquard dress topped off with bright lips. I love her nail polish 😉

Garcelle Beauvais Nylon is one beautiful lady. She looked great in orange fish tail midi dress. Her sandals did not suit the dress but she still looks fantastic.

Tasha Smith and Sharon Leal looked like stars. I want Tasha’s red wrap dress!

Salli Richardson looked great in a red floral print dress.

Spike Lee and Tonya Lewis

Who were your faves? Who missed the mark?

Stay tuned for more!

Happy weekend people.

Be a part of the world today, share a photograph.

There are so many cool people in this world, like painters, musicians, photographers and many others, who create stuff and share it with the rest of the world. We should be thankful for what they do, as we get to have a lot of beautiful things to see, to listen or to post on Facebook.

A few years ago on the Internet appeared some really awesome images, that seem to be taken from the space. I loved the most, the one with the North American continent. When you look at it for the first time, you may think it was taken from the satellite and that it shows the light pollution that blights America. Actually the picture it is showing the social network usage of the people who live there, it is like a map. You get to see red dots that represent Flickr pictures, blue dots, which are tweets and white for the both. The East Coast looks almost white, because there are millions of people, who take beautiful pictures, post and share them with their friends, strangers and the rest of the world. If you look at the map of New York, you get to see that Manhattan is almost white, because there are so many New York photographers or tourists with cameras that make pictures and share them, using social networks. This map is a picture that shows how common the interests of the people are.

The 21st century has changed photography. A picture that is taken right now in Mexico can be seen by some Polish guys in Warsaw, within seconds. This is the power of technology and the desire of the photographers and regular people with cameras on their phones, to share photographs. Why do we care so much about posting pictures with almost everything that takes part in our life? It is simple, people love beautiful images that express happiness and give a sense of better representation of what is really going on. You simply cannot post a status, saying that you are eating a cupcake without adding to it a picture of the delicious treat.

Sharing is caring and you may think that you don’t care about the others, but that’s what you really do, when you post a picture. This is the world today, the world where we take lots of photographs and we simply adore them.

Kevin Hart’s girlfriend, Eniko Parrish looked stunning in  a draped Roberto Cavalli gown. Nude pumps and makeup completed her ensemble. How pretty is this woman?!

Happy Youth Day to all my Cameroonian readers! I miss the highly anticipated march pasts and outing days from good ol’ Saker 🙂

Speaking of youth, the new IT girl and Kenyan actress, Lupita Nyongo’o shone like a star at the Hollywood Reporter’s Annual Nominees Night Party. Just when I think I’ve seen her at her best yet, she unveils an even more flattering and breathtaking look! This time, Lupita wowed in a  Valentino Fall 2013 metallic slip dress with cross straps around the neck. red lips, diamanté sandals and silky chocolte completed her look. Suave!

Love it when she slips on her reading glasses. Geeky chic!

Do you like Lupita’s pairing?

See who else was at the party:

I love to dazzle in a red hot number so when I spied the Go RED for Women show this morning, I was so excited to see all the red dresses that graced the carpet for the event.

Kat Graham layered a leatherette red crop top and matching skirt on a red long sleeve cotton wool jumper. Thumbs up for brilliant layering.

Kat Graham and Victoria Justice

She later changed into a white lace dress. I am love with this.

Nene Leakes looked hot in an off-the-shoulder smoking red bow dress. I swear this woman would be a ten most of the time if it wasn’t for that lace front wig…

Adrienne Bailon loves a good cut out dress. She sizzled this time in an orange bodycon cut out dress.

Alicia Quarles doesn’t need much to stun. Her beauty speaks for itself. She smouldered in a red v neck drape dress.

Suits boss lady, Gina Torres looked pretty in a red ruffled frock.

I loved Thea Andrews’ red peplum cascading strapless dress.

Disney princess, Anika Moni Rose looked beautiful in a red satin pleated dress.

Anna Sophia Robb looked pretty and girly in a red print dress.

Bella Thorne looked beautiful in an orange pencil dress. Her hair is so luscious!

Colbie Caillat sure does love red. Remember her 2014 Golden Globes red carpet stunner? She opted for a body hugger red silky number this time around. Hot!

Rutina Wesley showed off her athletic bod in a red stripes dress.

Sasha Cohen (OMG is she related to Borat?!) leaned towards a red velvety low neck frock. Vintage realness!

These ladies all strutted on the runway to support the American Heart Foundation. It looked like a very fun catwalk. Nene Leakes’ runway catwalk poses cracked me up. I can watch her all day. This is what went down at the show.

This post is great for prom dress ideas.

Who was you favourite. Nene’s dress and Kat’s white lace dress rocked my world.

Enjoy your weekend!
