So everyone, even White Boy; can now Azonto except yours truly. For those who don’t know what Azonto is; it  is a dance and music genre originating from Ghana. The dance involves a frenzied set of hand movements that either mimic everyday activities or are meant to signal an often comical intention.

The Azonto wave first swept over UK in early 2012 or possibly in 2011 but I just hadn’t noticed. Ever since, there has been serious flood of Azonto dance off, tutorials and dance frenzy all over social media platforms. YouTube and Tumblr especially.

This post may proof beneficial learners like myself. Here are a few of my favourite ‘Azonto Moments’ that I stumbled ipon while surfing the www. So don’t sit back, put on your dancing shoes and get ready to Azonto.

That’s all I’ve got at the moment. But you get the drift. Hopefully if we ever meet at a party somewhere I shall baffle you with me newly-acquired Azonto skills.

Nite folks.

Let’s continue this on Instagram @artbecomesyou 🙂

It’s 02:05 in the morning. But I’ve vowed that there’s no way I’m going to bed without completing this post. #thethingsidoforyouguys. SMH. So forgive me if I don’t comment as much as I usually do on every single outfit. Nevertheless, here are the best and worst dressed form the red carpet at the 85th Annual Academy Awards. Enjoy.

Pictures courtesy of Zimbio.

Jessica Chastain

OMG I love redheads! Lol. Jessica Chastain wore a sparkling, figure-hugging strapless deep gold gown from Armani Prive. A bit too pale for her skin but she still looks nice.

My favourite of the night was Bond girl Naomie Harris. So elegant.

Charlize Theron gave me life at the Oscars, the short-haired star wore this ultra-structured white Christian Dior Haute Couture gown.

Jennifer Lawrence looked such a princess in this dramatic silk satin Christian Dior Haute Couture strapless gown on the 2013 Oscars red carpet.

Olivia Munn got my attention in that gold and red brocade bodice gathered skirt gown. Class.

Kerry Washington opted for a Miu Miu crystallized number.

Sally Field added some colour to the evening a red number very reminiscent to Rihanna’s Grammy dress.

Jennifer Aniston

Best-dressed contender, Kelly Rowland chose this beautiful, sculptural gown from Donna Karan Atelier. Oh lawdy. That hair, makeup, skin and dress combo is pure divine.

Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson chose this beautiful metallic sheer overlay long sleeve gown by Roberto Cavalli.

Naomi Watts in Giorgio Armani

Halle Berry, an ardent member of the NGO (Never Gets Old) club, wore this striped metallic Versace.

Stacy Keibler

Salma Hayek slayed in a gold-collared high-halter black velvet Alexander McQueen gown.

Actress Fan Bingbing looked a dream in this fuchsia silk dress. That colour just pops against her pale skin.

Maria Menounos

Giuliana Rancic gets a hmmm from me. Dress is a bit off in the fit department. And her hair looks a mess today (of all days).

Kelly Osbourne

Kelly Osbourne wore this beautiful, strappy asymmetrical halter Tony Ward Couture gown.

Kristin Chenoweth
Reese Witherspoon

Quvenzhane Wallis
Robin Roberts

Actress Rachel Mwanza repped Africa in an ethnic print dress.

Michael Strahan

Pick your faves of the night.

Naomie Harris, Halle Berry and Kelly Rowland blew me away.

See you in a few hours. It’s 03:37 am now. Jeez.

This post is dedicated to my sister & friend, Miss Sandra Bih Ekukole.

Yep, I know. She’s good. So go follow her on Bih-Youty.

Finally! I’ve found this after a long search. Yes, I have been on the hunt for anything in the form of ankara or African print inspired. And then one day, on the 13th of February to be exact   I was just daydreaming past Topshop when I stumbled upon this beautiful skirt. I let out a little squel. I just had to have it.

This by no means signifies that I closing down all search parties for an African print dress, blazer, pant suit, shirt, bikini…you name it, I want it.

Please if you know someone who’s met someone who has access to any of these ready-made wears PLEASE contact me on

I wish I was one of those who could whip sit at their sewing machines and whip out showstopping pieces overnight. Unfortunately, I cannot sew to save my life. Working on it though.

In the meantime, I’ll celebrate one new addition to the ankara corner of my closet with this lovely ethnic print pencil skirt by Topshop. I decided to go for a print vs print with this look. What do you think?

PS: The sun was showing me mad love:)

Oh, and if you’ve got the time, check out Topshop’s Spring 2013 collection. Sublime. They definitely know what’s going down this season.

What a weekend! It started snowing all over in England and while I struggled miserably to get home in a pair of ballerinas in that unforgiving snow; the celebs were down at the STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, California having some real fun moments. I’m talking about the 55th Annual Grammy Awards baby. Let’s get into the good, the bad and the God forbid of it it all.

Janelle Monae did not disappoint, herself that is. She turned up in her signature monochrome suit jacket from Moschino.

Kelly Rowland looked gorgeous in this Georges Chakra Spring 2013 cutout mermaid tail gown.

Jennifer Lopez wore this leg-baring asymmetrical look by Anthony Vaccarello to the 2013 Grammys.

J.Lo and Nicole Kidman
with Casper Smart

Ashanti’s floral-print black gown was one of the prettiest on the Grammys red carpet. The diaphanous, slit-up-to-there gown comes from Tony Ward Couture.

Beyoncé hit the red carpet in a  Osman Yousefzada monochrome pantsuit. Don’t know how I feel about this. Hmmm.

Wiz Khalifa and his baby momma Amber Rose cosied up on the red carpet. Amber is glowing but I feel like she’s been pregnant for 12 months now???? Can’t wait for Lil’ Wiz to pop.

Elle Varner

Solange Knowles looked dreamy in an embellished green split dress. Pure fabulosity.

Katy Perry who said she was inspired by Priscilla Presley, wore a mint green Gucci gown. Gorge.

With Allison Williams

Taylor Swift rocked a J.Mendel white cut out number. Get into that detailing!

Rihanna opted for a custom red Alaïa gown and a weave very reminiscent of her ‘Pon de Replay’ days. Check out the train on that dress!

Adele was covered in floral print form head to toe. I’m getting mixed feelings from this Valentino Couture red-and-black gown. Lovely print, bad shape maybe?  Don’t know how to rate this look…She looks good nonetheless.

Estelle looked ravishing in this Love Collins printed two-piece look. The pretty navy-and-coral print two-piece long-sleeve look perfectly complements her tonal hair.

Rocsi Diaz was in head to toe white.

Alicia Keys rocked an Alaïa cutout criss-cross croco-embossed gown.

Florence Welch in a spiky Givenchy number.

Chris Brown in an all white Lanvin suit.

Frank Ocean

Rick Ross was in on the action. Not forgetting his cigar.

Rihanna performs ‘Stay’
Jessica Biel, Mr & Mrs Carter

Portie DeRossi, Ellen DeGeneres and Katy Perry
Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel

Chrissy Tiegen and John Legend

It’s official, I’m having a secret affair with the colour blue. I only noticed a few days ago that a lot my most recent purchases have been blue. And not just any blue. They are a deep cornflower blue to be specific. Jumpers, skirts, shoes and blouses. Do I secretly love that colour? I mean, I’ve always known that I loved yellow and orange. Black and white are a given. I’ve heard this happens to a lot of people. They get enthralled by something without even knowing it. It’s usually when they step back and take a good look at things that they discover how much they must have invested into a new found love/habit.

What are you unconsciously stocking on, that you thought you were not really into? Go on, have a look, and then come back and spill!

I’ve worn my cornflower blue jumper here with a fiercely split skirt from Asos and Zara’s latest ankle strap sandals. These Zara babies are so comfy and are selling out like fried chicken.

PS: That Asos Split Skirt + A Windy Day = Mayhem. (Proof in a few of the shots).

Finally! The slippery conniving icy remains of last week’s snow is finally gone. (God knows how many times I slipped, shhh. ) But in comes the rain. I am so impatient for summery and cheery weather. Nonetheless, our most-loved celebs and fashionistas are not letting anything hamper their style moods. Here are some of the fabulous sightings from this week.

First up is Queen B who has been getting a lot of blog appearances lately; what with the inauguration and now with her Super Bowl performance.

Beyonce slayed at the Pepsi Super Bowl XLVII Halftime Show Press Conference at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center on January 31, 2013 in New Orleans, Louisiana in a white Olcay Gulsen lamb leather dress and Jimmy Choo lace mesh ‘Barb’ pumps.

At the PEPSI halftime show (schedule this Sunday on CBS) she wore an orange Antonio Berardi ‘Freak-em’ dress showcasing her curvy bod. Side swept voluminous curls, and gold perforated Jimmy Choo pumps completed her look.

Selena Gomez looked glam and girly at the Nylon Magazine February 2013 cover party. She arrived in an Atelier Versace dress which she paired with peach-coloured Nicholas Kirkwood pumps. This colour combo is a winner in my book. Adorbs.

Alesha Dixon is inspiring me to do a post solely on her Britain’s Got Talent auditions outfits. She has got me speechless so far. Girl is definitely serving all kinds of class and glam this year. She arrived at the ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ London Auditions in a Carven Resort 2013 skirt suit and Topshop pumps. Wow!

Miranda Kerr who is forever looking fabulous was in Cancun to promote Louis Vuitton’s shop opening. She rocked a Louis Vuitton checkered deep v-neck short beige and white dress. I want this!

Kerry Washington is this season’s It Girl so far. She has literally been shopping on the runway. She stopped by Good Morning America in a L’Agence dress, Reed Krakoff clutch and turquoise Christian Louboutin watersnake pumps. Werk!

LaLa Anthony was at this year’s Market America Annual World Conference in Miami to promote her Motives makeup line. For the event she wore a vibrant £1570 Stella McCartney Embroidered Fringe Dress.  Oh dear, I’m on the prowl for a yellow dress as of now. She completed her look with Christian Louboutin Arnold 100 patent-leather and mirrored-python sandals.

Toni Braxton look stunning at an Extra with Mario Lopez this morning in a bodycon LBD and sky high heels. She completed her look with $750 pink Giuseppe Zanotti peep toe pumps.

Adrienne Bailon launched her signature Valentine’s day cocktail at a Hypnotiq event last night in New York. For the occasion, Adrienne slipped on a $295 red lace dress with cut outs by Muehleder.

And there you have it. Who killed it for you this week?

I’m loving Alesha Dixon, Kerry Washington and Miranda Kerr a lot! I’d need that La La number for a night out.
